Meet Remedy! True to her name, Remedy has a way of making everything feel a little better. This gorgeous dilute tortie Domestic Mediumhair came to our rescue from animal control after being found outside, and she has quickly won over everyone she meets with her affectionate personality and stunning looks. Remedy is the definition of a lap cat. She loves being close to her people, soaking up attention, and will happily curl up beside you for a cozy afternoon nap. She also has a healthy appreciation for mealtime and never misses an opportunity for a tasty snack! When Remedy first arrived, she tested positive for FeLV and is scheduled for retesting soon. While we await those results, we're focusing on helping her feel safe, loved, and comfortable. Although she adores people, other animals are a bit intimidating for Remedy. Because of this, she would thrive as the only pet in her home where she can be the center of attention and never have to compete for love. We are unsure how she does with children, but a calm and respectful home would likely suit her best. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will fill your days with affection, purrs, and plenty of cuddles, Remedy may be just what the doctor ordered. Remedy has had all age-appropriate vaccinations, has been dewormed, microchipped, received monthly flea/tick/heartworm prevention, tested negative for FeLV, and has been altered. We recommend having a fecal test rechecked within 48 hours of adoption, which is covered by us. If they test positive for any parasites, we will provide the dewormer recommended by your veterinarian at no additional cost. Adoption Fee: $175 Adopters will receive copies of their microchip registration information, adoption contract, medical records, and a handout about Upper Respiratory Infections (URI) in cats. The microchip registration is lifelong, and we will register it for you before adoption. Remedy is doing great with litter box use. We recommend starting them in a smaller room with a litter box and gradually introducing them to the rest of the home. Slow introductions to existing pets are always encouraged to ensure a successful transition. We will provide food to help with the transition to their new home and are happy to answer any questions after adoption. While we would love for you to continue veterinary care with us at Pawsitive Care, you are welcome to use the veterinarian of your choice. If you think Remedy would complete your family, please contact us at pawsitivecausemi@gmail.com. Pawsitive Cause Non-Profit Animal Rescue is a no-kill, foster-based rescue in Holly, Michigan. Our animals live in foster homes where they are treated like family while they wait for their forever homes. Adoption requires an approved application (which can be found on our Facebook page) and meet-and-greet. We strive to match each animal with the best possible home.
