She has been a breeding dog her entire life and up until last month when she came into our rescue, she lived in a kennel environment where she produced many litters of pups. But thankfully those days are behind her and it's now her time to be babied! Now fostered in the Metro St. Louis area, Darby is learning how to be a beloved canine companion for the very first time. That means learning new skills that she never had to have before such as climbing stairs and house training and she is a very fast learner. While mostly house trained, Darby's future family needs to be patient as she fine-tunes her potty habits and transitions into a new environment Darby is very "chill" and loves to cuddle next to her foster parents.... whether on the sofa or alongside them in bed at night. Darby has a furry foster sister that is teaching her all the "ins and outs" of what it means to be a beloved pet and in her future forever home, another canine companion will be a must. Darby's future home should have the following-- * A mostly at home owner or owners. A retired couple would be ideal.
