About Dahlia

Meet Dahlia! Dahlia is a beautiful 4.5-5 year old spayed female hound mix with a loving heart and an easygoing personality. She was adopted from Animal Alliance more than four years ago and has been a cherished member of her family ever since. Sadly, due to an unexpected move, her family was forced into a housing situation where pets are not allowed. This heartbreaking decision was made out of necessity, not choice, and Dahlia's family is devastated to say goodbye to a dog they love so much. According to her family, Dahlia is a sweet, well-mannered girl who gets along wonderfully with children and other pets. She's fully house-trained, knows how to be part of a family, and is ready to settle right into her next home. At her age, Dahlia has outgrown the puppy phase and offers all the benefits of an adult dog ---she's mature, predictable, and eager to share her love with her people. Dahlia has so much love left to give and deserves a family who will cherish her as much as her previous one did. Could you be the one to give this wonderful girl her second chance? To fill out an adoption application, go to: https://www.animalalliancenj.org/fosteradoption-application/ This pet is spayed or neutered in accordance with our strict policy wherein all animals are altered prior to adoption. This pet is de-wormed, current on vaccines, and started on monthly flea/tick preventatives. Animal Alliance does not adopt adult dogs (over 9 months old) into households with children under 9 years of age due to the risk of bites. Puppies 9 months of age or younger can be adopted into households with young children ages 4 and older. We do not adopt to families with children 3 years and younger or expectant families due to the safety risk for infants and toddlers. Prior to submitting an application, please see the Animal Alliance Adoption Process for adoption details. Animal Alliance is not a shelter where all the animals are housed in one location. Animal Alliance is a foster care network up and animals are housed in many different locations. If you are interested in adopting a pet, please apply using the online application; applicants who call our phone line will hear a recorded voicemail with this identical message. We adopt many animals each week and meet prospective adopters at various locations so they can meet the animals they are interested in.
