Leo
AvailableLeo is a tricolor (brown, black, and white) Husky mix with a medium build, currently in Paramus, NJ. He is about 2 years and 8 months old and has a medium-length coat. About Leo
Leo is about 5 years old and weighs in at around 50 pounds. He spent most of his early life with a dedicated, loving owner who kept him healthy and neutered, and he was well cared for inside—a rarity for southern dogs. When his owner had to move into a senior home, Leo was entrusted to a friend, but unfortunately, things took a bad turn. This so-called friend kept him chained outside, denying him food and water. When Leo was finally rescued, he was emaciated, and only narrowly escaped euthanasia at the local shelter. Leo is now safe, vetted, up to date on vaccinations, neutered, and microchipped. He tested heartworm positive but is currently being treated in Texas and will head to New Jersey after his treatments are complete. Leo has proven to be friendly, affectionate, and usually calm. He can be protective of his food, which isn't surprising given his past neglect. He gets along with people and other dogs but hasn't been tested with young children or cats yet. House training is still a work in progress. Leo is a resilient dog who's overcome a lot—a true Libra, born in early fall, known for seeking partnership and balance. Leo deserves the stable home he's lost, and someone who can offer the care and trust he gives in return. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
