Jeb is a stocky, senior hound mix with a love for big yards and gentle routines. About 8 years old, he does best with plenty of space to wander and prefers homes with older children. Other mellow, respectful dogs are fine—he’s more into companions that match his calm energy than busybody playmates. Jeb came from years of being "pool boy" in Missouri, living large on a rural property and, later on, the transition to city life just wasn’t for him. When he lost his freedom to roam, he lost his spark. Now, at the rescue in New Jersey, he thrives as the dog house "foreman," preferring belly rubs over paychecks and always choosing the sunniest spot or the coziest couch.
