About Maggie
Maggie is a spirited two-year-old Chihuahua mix who found her way to Minnesota from Mexico, where she was rescued from a difficult situation. After undergoing surgery for luxating patella in both knees, she's ready to embrace life again with renewed energy. This lovely lady takes some time to warm up to new people, learning to trust before she reveals her playful and goofy side. Although she enjoys the company of other dogs—whether big or small—it might take her a few days to feel comfortable. Once she does, you'll see her playful spirit shine. When it's cuddle time, Maggie prefers to keep her space to herself and may be a bit touchy if disturbed. She's a true cuddle bug, especially on chilly winter days, and loves to snuggle under a blanket. Maggie is kennel trained and mostly potty trained, having only the occasional accident. She's also cat-friendly, as long as they're not too laid back; she may playfully chase active cats. When new people arrive, she’ll bark at first, but with a little patience, she calms down and adjusts well to newcomers—just give her space, and she’ll be fine. Could you be the forever home she's looking for? The adoption fee includes a full veterinary exam, spay, microchip, deworming, and up-to-date vaccinations. Click apply to start the adoption process.
