Meadow is the heart of her little pack, a gentle leader who demonstrates bravery one small step at a time. She, along with four other young dogs, came from a home in San Antonio where human interaction was minimal. The only person they recognized was an elderly man who occasionally fed them. As a result, Meadow is still learning what it means to feel safe around people. Despite her shyness, Meadow stands out as the most social of her peers. She’s the first to approach, curious enough to sniff your hand, especially if you come bearing treats. It’s heartwarming to see how she cautiously approaches, gently taking treats, showing her willingness to trust despite her past. While touch can be intimidating for her, her curiosity drives her to explore. With the right mix of patience and kindness, in a calm environment (bonus points if you have a confident dog friend), Meadow has the makings of a wonderful companion. She deserves a chance at a new life where she’s genuinely loved and cherished.
