About Carl

Carl is a handsome Shepherd mix on the lookout for a forever home. At just 2 years old, this young male weighs around 34 lbs and is full of energy. His ideal day involves sniffing around on walks, playing with his dog friends, and curling up in a comfy dog bed at the end of the day. Carl is already neutered and up to date on vaccinations. He's great with other dogs and would enjoy making new friends, but we donโ€™t have any information about how he interacts with cats or kids; happy to discuss integration strategies if needed. This lucky dog is currently in a foster home in the DC area, but he can't wait to find his own place where he can feel safe and loved. Although Lucky Dog Animal Rescue cannot guarantee he is house trained, he is working on crate training. Carl has tested positive for heartworms but is receiving treatment and can live a full, active life post-care. If you're interested in adopting Carl, email the adoption coordinator for more details on his current treatment process. This boy is ready to bring joy, loyalty, and companionship to a loving home.
