About Slang

Slang came to The Hermitage Cat Shelter in February 2026, joining us with her kittens from a situation involving too many cats. Unfortunately, her health wasn’t strong enough for her to care for them, and we only managed to save one of her little ones. Initially shy and not used to humans, she took time to adapt after being spayed. Today, Slang has transformed into a different cat. While still a bit reserved, she enjoys spending time at the front of the shelter and is learning to trust those around her. With patience, you’ll discover the sweet and beautiful gem we know she can be. She may not be ready to go home on the same day, but we believe that with understanding and love, she’ll thrive in the right environment. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
