About Teddy
Teddy is a one-year-old, 10-pound Havanese mix who found his way to rescue after slipping out the front door too many times. Now safe in foster care, he's turning into a loving little companion ready for a family that will cherish him. Teddy can be a bit shy at first, but it won't take long for his sweet nature to shine. Once comfortable, he loves to be close to his humans and soak up attention. He offers a surprisingly big bark for his small size, letting you know when he’s excited or alerting you to something new—definitely a little watchdog in training! His playful side comes out during toy time, and he's really motivated by treats, especially when cooking is involved. Daily walks keep him happy, and a fenced yard would allow him to explore and enjoy the outdoors safely. Teddy is crate trained and doing well with housetraining, though he may not be perfect yet. Regular grooming will help keep him looking good. While Teddy is more comfortable around small dogs, he can be nervous around larger ones and may bark or growl in fear. A home without cats is a must, as he tends to bark at them. Although labeled as “not good with children,” Teddy's previous experiences led to this; he simply needs a calm environment with older kids (14+) who can respect his space. A quieter home would be ideal for him to thrive. This affectionate boy seeks a patient adopter who will give him time to adjust. Once he feels safe, Teddy transforms into a devoted companion, always by your side. He’s neutered, up to date with vaccines, microchipped, and flea/worm treated. This charming dog is looking for a loving home where he can flourish and share his warmth. Your new best friend is just one click away.
