About Bart
Bart is a delightful 9-year-old, 60 lb Hound mix with a lovable personality that truly shines. Despite his age, he remains spirited and playful, often displaying adorable bursts of energy that can make him the life of the party. One moment he’s joyfully playing with a toy, and the next, he’s curled up on the couch, ready to be your loyal snuggle buddy. His story is a reminder of resilience. Bart came from a crowded shelter in Houston, Texas after losing his owner. He was found alone at home, mourning the loss of his beloved human mom, and sadly ended up on the euthanasia list. Fortunately, he found his way to safety. Clearly, Bart was well-loved before his hardships, arriving in good condition, which tells us he was once someone's cherished companion. Bart gives love freely, quietly soaking up affection while returning it tenfold. His foster family raves about his patience and gentleness, particularly with their children aged 9 and 13. He fits well into their home, getting along wonderfully with their dogs and enjoying walks as much as he loves lounging around. He is also potty trained and likes to travel in the car, greeting everyone along the way with his friendly demeanor. This sweet boy is looking for a nurturing forever home. His ideal family would include gentle, loving people, perhaps retirees who spend ample time at home, or a younger family with a home-based office. Bart loves to be part of family activities and is happiest when he knows he’s surrounded by those who care. He’s fully vetted, vaccinated, and neutered. If you’re ready to provide a loving environment for Bart, he’s excited to start this new chapter of his life with you. Ready to fall in love? Hit apply and let’s get started.
