About Lady
Meet Lady, a 2-year-old Australian Kelpie and Coonhound mix with brains, heart, and a huge appetite for learning. Originally from Dallas, Lady has found her rhythm in her foster home and is ready for a permanent family. She’s gentle and loyal, bonding closely once she feels safe, but she does start off shy—especially around hands. Go slow and let her come to you, and she’ll be glued to your side. Lady lives up to her working-breed roots. She’s sharp, tuned in, and happiest with a “job” or an activity. Her herding instinct is real: if it moves, she wants to organize it. For this reason, she’s best suited to an adult-only home, either as the only dog or with fellow canines who understand her style. Consistency brings out her brilliance—Lady thrives with structure, boundaries, and regular training sessions. She’s food-motivated, loves scent games, and picks up new tricks fast. She’s working through leash reactivity and some resource-guarding, but takes to training with enthusiasm and already views her crate as a safe haven. Lady’s ideal setup includes a yard for mad dashes, an adult household, and someone patient who’s as committed to her growth as she is. She’ll reward you with fierce loyalty and a dynamic bond. They are ready to love you; are you ready to apply?
