Meet Lacey! This resilient sweetheart came to our rescue after being found pregnant at a seasonal hunting lodge, relying on food scraps from hunters. Thanks to an incredible foster family in North-east Houston, Lacey was able to leave her foraging days behind and give birth to seven healthy puppies in a warm home. Now that her puppies have found their forever families, Lacey is fully vetted, happy, and ready for her own happily ever after. At about 1.5 years old, Lacey is a Border Collie and Labrador Retriever mix, weighing approximately 42 lbs. She's spayed, up to date on vaccinations, and heartworm negative. Lacey is well-trained—house-trained and kennel-trained. She gets along great with other dogs, cats, and children, making her a perfect family companion. Lacey rides well in a car, walks nicely on a leash, and knows basic commands. Her gentle and loving spirit shines through, easily fitting into any home. Lacey will thrive best in a family that includes her in daily activities and treats her as a beloved member of the pack.
