Sailor is a stunning 3-year-old Great Dane who tips the scales at 92 pounds. She came into rescue after a dramatic escape from a house fire, and despite that, she’s full of love and loyalty. Her personality shines through as a gentle giant. While she has bursts of playful energy and loves her zoomies, Sailor also enjoys being a couch potato and cuddling. She's excellent with kids, having fostered with a 4-year-old, and shows remarkable patience, though her clumsiness can sometimes lead to accidental bumps. Sailor gets along well with dogs of all sizes but might not realize her own strength. She has experienced some nervousness in new situations and would thrive with an owner committed to continuing her training. House trained and good in her crate, she takes some time to adjust to new routines, and she’ll signal when it’s time for a potty break. On leash, Sailor is fairly manageable, especially when equipped with a halti, but sudden movements can spook her. This lovely girl is looking for someone who understands Great Danes, as she needs a confident handler. This beautiful girl currently has a heart arrhythmia with normal findings, but her recovery is well managed and she is not in need of long-term treatment.
