About Newt Aka Banks
Meet Newt, a gentle giant who's faced challenges with incredible resilience. He arrived from a reservation after suffering injuries from a dog attack, but thanks to a compassionate caregiver, he received the help he needed. Newt has since been seen by a vet, is on the mend, and has tested heartworm negative. He is also vaccinated and will soon be neutered. At around 1.5 years old and weighing in at about 80 pounds, Newt embodies sweetness and affection. He enjoys being around people, has a soft mouth when taking treats, and has shown a playful spirit with kids. This lovable pup also gets along well with other dogs and displays a gentle curiosity towards cats. Newt walks nicely on a leash and is house trained. He has a solid grasp of basic manners but would benefit from continued training, particularly for his counter surfing habits. What stands out is Newt's unwavering spirit; despite his past, he chooses to trust and love. Now, he’s looking for a forever home that appreciates his loyalty and warm heart.
