About Rex

Meet Rex, our sweet senior goofball. Rex is a 10-year-old Lab mix who came to us in October of last year, capturing hearts effortlessly. Despite being a senior, he still enjoys zooming around outside and has plenty of happy energy. Rex is affectionate and thrives in a calm, loving environment. He does best with smaller dogs and cats, as he isn’t fond of larger dogs. A home without big dogs would be ideal for him, though we're not certain how he interacts with children. One important note about Rex: he cannot have blankets or fabric toys due to past health issues related to chewing. His future home will need to ensure that fabric items are kept out of reach. Continuing his veterinary care at Crossroads Animal Hospital is essential, as we've provided him with detailed medical support since he was a puppy. We have an adoption fee of $200, which helps cover his substantial medical history, including two surgeries for a foreign body and a lumpectomy. Ultimately, our goal is to find the perfect forever home for Rex. He is a gentle soul who deserves a cozy, blanket-free haven to enjoy his golden years, ideally with a family that will embrace his sweet nature and bursts of playfulness. If you're looking for a loyal companion with a big heart, Rex might just be the perfect fit for your home. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
