About Lola
Meet Lola! Lola is a resilient 10-11 year old Pit Bull Terrier who has faced quite a journey. Her past includes a challenging situation with an owner who frequently found themselves in trouble, leading to her being surrendered to a metro shelter. Thankfully, a foster home opened its doors to her, but the existing dogs could not accept her at first. To prevent this gentle girl from enduring the stress of a shelter life, the rescue coordinator reached out for help, and we're glad they did! Now, Lola is on the lookout for her dream retirement home where she can enjoy her golden years in peace and stability. She generally gets along with other dogs but would thrive as someone's one and only true companion, something she has likely never experienced. While she carries a touch of anxiety from her tumultuous past, she doesn’t show any destructive behavior. Instead, it appears as panting, pacing, and drooling. To help her feel more comfortable, she is on a low dose of anxiety medication, allowing her to enjoy life’s simple pleasures. Interested in welcoming Sweet Ol' Lola into your home?
