About Nala

Meet Nala, a beautiful survivor looking for her fresh start. At 4 years old and weighing around 50 pounds, she’s ready to find that special forever home. Nala’s journey hasn’t been easy. She arrived at the rescue pregnant and heartworm positive but has since completed her treatment. Now, she is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated, and current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. A medium-sized dog, Nala is both kennel and potty trained. After a day of play, she settles calmly in her crate, displaying her high-energy spirit but also knowing how to relax. She’s cautious around new people due to her past, requiring patience and time to build trust. Once she knows you, Nala becomes incredibly loyal and loving. She has some resource-guarding tendencies when it comes to food and toys, so her future adopter should be ready to manage those behaviors. However, she’s shown she can get along well with cats. If you have the understanding and patience to help Nala thrive, you’ll gain a faithful companion who will love you wholeheartedly. Nala is available for adoption in Texas only.
