Meet Stella! This friendly and social girl is ready for a family of her own. Stella spent over a year at the Chillicothe Animal Shelter before being brought to Kansas City, where she’s now waiting for her forever home. During that time, she participated in Missouri's Puppies for Parolees program, where she learned important obedience skills and socialization. As a graduate of the program, Stella knows commands like sit, stay, down, and come. Plus, she is potty trained, giving her future family a great head start. At approximately 35-40 pounds, she’s a medium-sized dog—big enough to join you on adventures but small enough to fit comfortably in many households. Stella is easy-going and enjoys the company of both people and other dogs. In playgroups, she interacts with different breeds and personalities beautifully. Her affectionate and well-mannered nature makes her an excellent companion. After spending so long in a shelter, Stella is eager to trade her kennel for a cozy home, her routine for family adventures, and her past for a bright future.
