About Bailey
Bailey showed up at the shelter in March 2025 looking a little lost, but she’s settled in and become a loyal, loving companion. She’s a medium-sized shepherd mix with a beautiful black and chocolate coat and a personality that fills the room. Bailey is friendly and full of playful energy—she loves heading outside for walks and is always ready to explore. She does pull hard on the leash, so walks often turn into an adventure; some leash lessons would go a long way for her. Food is a highlight for Bailey, and she’s a real treat-motivated girl, though she gets a bit protective around meals. Because of this, she’ll do best with experienced adopters willing to help her feel secure at mealtime. She’s also house trained and pretty quiet—don't expect much barking. She loves toys, but sharing isn’t her strong suit. While Bailey would do well with teens who respect her space, she isn’t a fit for homes with small children. She’s still working out how she feels about other dogs and cats, so she belongs in a home where she’s the only pet. What’s obvious is Bailey’s big heart and need for a patient family who will give her a peaceful, loving place to settle in. Bailey is in Schererville, IN. Your new best friend is just one click away.
