About Roxy
Roxy has been at the shelter for over three weeks, and her transition has been challenging. Arctic Rescue welcomed her into a foster home to help her build confidence. Slowly but surely, she’s starting to reveal her true self. Roxy is a sweet, sensitive girl longing for connection. With some treats, patience, and a few quiet moments spent by her kennel, she begins to relax and open up. She's very food motivated, learning that people can be trusted. Outside, her personality shines through as she occasionally breaks into playful zoomies, only to remember her nerves and seek reassurance not long after. Watching her is both heartwarming and hopeful. Roxy has done wonderfully with other dogs and previously lived with cats without any issues. What Roxy needs most is a patient adopter who can see past her fears to her true potential. She won't rush up to greet you right away, but for the right person, helping her feel safe will be an incredibly rewarding experience. Just a note: All Arctic Rescue dogs are marked as needing an experienced adopter. This is especially important for Roxy as Northern Breeds usually require higher exercise, training, and care. It's advisable to research the breed thoroughly if you lack prior experience.
