About Hank
Hank is happiest where his people are. He greets everyone with a full-body wag and a big, goofy grin. If he can find a way onto your lap, he’ll take it—he’s convinced he’s a pocket pup in disguise. Hank works hard for treats and praise, so teaching him new commands like “stay” and “come” is already paying off. He’s shown he can settle down after some initial excitement when meeting new people, especially if he has some structure. There’s some resource guarding, mostly around toys and balls, but he’s motivated to trade if you offer a treat and is making steady progress responding to “drop.” Walks excite him, but he pulls hard and will need a secure harness or collar—he can be strong when he spots a dog or cat. Inside, he balances his energy well: a walk and a play session, and then he’s happy to snooze beside you all afternoon. Hank’s probably best suited to a home with older kids or little ones who understand boundaries. He can play rough and needs guidance. His interactions with other dogs are unknown, so careful introductions would be important. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
