About Zeke

Zeke came through heartbreak and cruelty, found wounded and alone in a park, but never lost his spirit. Though he still carries a bullet, careful vets deemed it safer to let it be, and Zeke has since healed into a healthy, resilient dog. At about 50 pounds, he may look like a classic Rottweiler mix, but underneath that appearance is a gentle, affectionate marshmallow who is deeply grateful for love and attention. With people, Zeke is loyal and confident, happiest when near those he trusts. Despite all he’s endured, he still wags his tail, ready to move forward. Around dogs, he’s quiet, submissive, and polite—a great fit for a home with other pups. Because of his history, Zeke can be jumpy and will need a patient adopter who’s willing to provide steadiness, training, and lots of reassurance. He’s healthy, neutered, vaccinated, and house trained. Zeke needs a home where he can finally relax and feel safe for good. He’s currently in Houston, TX, with transport included in his adoption fee for out-of-state adopters. The rescue requires all household pets to be up to date on vaccines and dogs to have a history of heartworm prevention. Give Zeke the home he was meant to find. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
