About Hope
Hope arrived at Tails of Gray as a shy, overwhelmed little dog, but with a gentle foster home and kind people around her, she’s showing her sweet side. She’s about nine years old and, thanks to a dedicated weight loss journey, is now down to 14.5 pounds from the 18 she weighed at intake. Her newfound energy means she enjoys walks, bursts of zoomies, and the kind of playful spirit you wouldn’t expect from a senior Chihuahua. Hope’s foster says she is incredibly easygoing—she loves curling up under a blanket or nestling beside you on the couch and is just as content lounging as she is following you around the house. She has grown steadily more affectionate, eagerly giving kisses and happily seeking out cuddles. While she still likes her independent moments, Hope relishes quiet companionship and warmth. She’s good with dogs of all sizes and cats, making her easy to add to most packs. She’s still getting the hang of some house manners but is learning quickly. Hope enjoys short walks, adores meals, tennis balls, and toys, and now welcomes her foster with happy greetings. She’ll need to finish her upcoming bladder stone surgery before going home. Hope is a calm, gentle presence who will make a loving, loyal companion for a lucky person or family. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
