Eva
AvailableEva is a senior female Chihuahua currently in Livermore, CA. She is small in size and not yet house trained, but she brings the sweet, gentle presence of an older dog. Eva has not been spayed. Her family and rescue are giving her the time and care she needs, so she'll soon be ready to settle into a loving new home.
About Eva
Eva spent her days beside her Papa in an assisted living facility. After he passed away, another resident did their best to care for her, but Eva needed something more stable. When her late family reached out, she found a loving place with Tails of Gray. Now at 8 years old, Eva is a gentle, mellow Chihuahua. She may be a little underweight but she's getting stronger, and her only health concerns are a heart murmur and mild arthritis. Eva isn't house-trained yet, but she makes up for it with her love of cuddles and her easy-going nature. She does well with both people and other dogs, and her favorite spot is on the couch, buried in blankets. Since joining the rescue, Eva's playful side has emerged and she's really come out of her shell. She's looking for a family who appreciates quiet moments and slow, snuggly days. Questions about Eva
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Chihuahuas like Eva are usually happiest in quiet homes where they can spend lots of time with their people, whether that’s an apartment or a house. They adjust well to smaller spaces as long as they get plenty of love.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Chihuahuas don't need much outdoor space, so Eva would be comfortable in a home with a small yard or even no yard at all as long as she gets daily walks and some fresh air.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Eva’s breed can live with gentle, older children, but due to their size, Chihuahuas are typically best in homes where kids understand how to be gentle.
