Chachi is a small, adult neutered male who is a mix of Chihuahua and Dachshund. He’s currently in Livermore, CA and is known for being affectionate and getting along with other animals. Chachi doesn’t have any special needs and looks forward to finding a calm, loving home.

About Chachi

Chachi is a young, small-framed Chihuahua/Dachshund mix who landed in rescue after being found as a stray near an elementary school. He’s been fostered alongside larger dogs, which isn’t ideal since one of them isn’t particularly friendly to him, so Chachi spends a good deal of time separated. Despite that, he's kept his gentle personality and does well with other dogs who treat him kindly. He gets along with cats, too. Chachi thrives on companionship and is happiest snuggled up close, especially at bedtime. He’s playful—a big fan of fetch and the water hose—and his bark is definitely bigger than his bite. Chachi is still young and hoping to settle into a home where he doesn’t have to worry about roughhousing from larger dogs and can enjoy the affection of a devoted family. He’s not a senior, just a sweet, deserving dog ready for a stable, loving environment. What are you waiting for? Apply today!

Questions about Chachi

  • What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?

Chachi, with his Chihuahua/Dachshund mix background, does well in apartments or smaller homes as long as he gets enough play and attention. He enjoys close company and doesn't require much space to be happy.

  • How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?

A secure yard is nice for Chachi, but not essential. Regular walks and active play sessions keep him satisfied, especially since he's on the smaller side.

  • Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?

Chachi’s mixed breed is generally fine with respectful kids. Since he's friendly and gentle, he'd likely do well in a household with children who know how to interact with small dogs.
