About Toffee
Toffee is a 3-year-old, medium-sized female Australian Cattle Dog mix with a calm and mellow temperament you might not expect from her breed. She gravitates toward cozy blankets, quiet corners, and cuddle sessions with her favorite stuffed toy. Most of her life was spent navigating the streets, so she approaches new people with caution. Despite her initial shyness, Toffee has never shown aggression—just a strong urge to retreat and observe until she knows she's safe. Once that trust is built, her sweet and loyal side comes out full force. She’s good with other dogs and shares her space nicely, though she values her naps and appreciates when other pets respect her downtime. Toffee has also done well with cats. She hasn’t lived with children, but a calm household with older kids who move deliberately and give her time to adjust would suit her best. She’s crate trained, puppy pad trained, and non-destructive when left out. Outdoor walks are still a work in progress, though she’s gaining confidence each day. If you’re patient, consistent, and looking for a truly devoted adult dog, Toffee could be the one who wants nothing more than a peaceful home and someone to teach her the world isn’t all that scary. She is currently in Krum, TX, but can be adopted locally or out of state, with safe ground transport arranged. Your new best friend is just one click away.
