About Jimmy
Jimmy is a striking young male German Shepherd, and rumor has it he resembles a Panda Shepherd—if that's unfamiliar, he's worth a quick search. Underneath his unique look, Jimmy is all good vibes: playful, lively, and pure-hearted. He thrives in groups, getting along well with both dogs and people. If it’s fun and social, Jimmy is in the middle of it. This social nature helped him sail through three months of basic obedience training with the Pawsitive Change program at North Kern State Prison, and he's come out not just well-behaved but still full of life. Jimmy had a tough start—he grew up in the shelter system, survived parvo, and narrowly escaped euthanasia due to overcrowding. Rescue groups saw what the world was missing and gave him the second chance he deserved. Now, having conquered every challenge thrown his way so far, Jimmy is looking for a home that matches his energy: active, engaged, and ready for adventure. He’d love a playful canine sibling (or two) and a family committed to continuing his training and making full use of his smart, happy temperament. Jimmy doesn’t get along with cats, so a feline-free home suits him best, but he’s eager for anyone ready to share in his big, beautiful story. Your new best friend is just one click away.
