About Gatsby
Gatsby is a young shepherd/terrier mix who came up with his littermates from Puerto Rico and is ready to start his own adventure in the DC area. At just two months old (as of early June), he is right in the heart of his socialization window and has lots of puppy energy to burn. Gatsby does well with other dogs, cats, and kids—as long as his new family is patient and invested in his continued training. He's looking for a home where he'll get plenty of playtime, frequent potty breaks, snuggles, and walks to satisfy his natural curiosity and intelligence. Obedience classes are highly recommended to help Gatsby grow into a well-mannered adult. Being a young puppy, Gatsby requires a setup that can meet his need for lots of attention throughout the day. Families with a standard full-time work schedule will need to make arrangements for care and potty breaks. He has started his puppy vaccines, but ongoing vetting will be needed to keep him protected as he grows. Gatsby is eager to find a foster or forever home where he can thrive, explore, and be loved.
