Dog's Name: Lulu (aka Lola) (LUL0825ALAFSHW) Estimated Breed: Shepherd Mix Approximate Age: 2 years Approximate Weight: 50 lbs Currently Living at: Boarding Adoption Fee: $400 DOG'S DESCRIPTION: Meet Lulu – Parking Lot Queen Turned Family Dog For over a year, Lulu called a grocery store parking lot “home.” She was the mysterious shepherd mix everyone kept spotting on Facebook — the one nobody could quite catch. But what nobody knew was that this clever girl was also being the best mom ever to her two babies, Lucinda and Luca. She kept them safe, fed, and loved until someone finally earned her trust and brought this little family to safety. Now, it's Lulu's turn to be spoiled! At just 2 years old, she's the total package: House trained Knows how to sit Super smart Great with other dogs Loves to play catch Loyal, funny, and sweet once she warms up She may be a little shy at first, but give her a minute and you'll see her goofy, loving personality shine. This girl has gone from surviving in a parking lot to dreaming of a couch (with maybe a few treats ), and a family who will give her the same love she gave her babies. Unfortunately, Lulu is heartworm positive, but K-9 Lifesavers will provide her life-saving treatment so she can be a healthy, happy member of one lucky family. Apply today and don't let this one get away! To learn more about heartworm please visit: https://www.webmd.com/pets/dogs/features/heartworms-in-dogs-facts-and-myths Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family. Adoption fees cover basic vetting, rabies (if puppy is old enough), distemper/parvo vaccinations, deworming, monthly heartworm prevention while in our care (if old enough), monthly flea/tick prevention while in our care, and transport costs. K-9 Lifesavers will also cover the cost of spay/neuter at our partner vet at 6 months of age or reimburse adopter for up to the amount of our partner vet cost should you choose to spay/neuter at your own vet.
