Pearl
AvailablePearl, a young female German Shepherd Dog/Labrador Retriever mix, is about 1 year old and is currently in Fort Wayne, IN. Her coat is primarily black. She has been spayed and is up to date on vaccinations. Pearl’s gentle nature shines through despite a tough start, and she is looking for a safe, loving home to recover and thrive.
About Pearl
Pearl came to the rescue in rough shape—thin, wary, and clearly used to fending for herself. Even after so much hardship, she greets people with gentleness and that steady, soft look you only get from a dog desperate for a safe home. She’s in the Pathway to Adoption program, which means she can settle into your home on a foster-to-adopt basis while she recovers and puts on the weight she needs before spay surgery. Once the vet clears her, you finalize the adoption. Pearl is overdue for some quiet, kindness, and routine meals. She needs a family willing to see past her bony frame and recognize all that’s good and patient in her. You’ll also need to bring all family members—including children—to meet her, as she does best when everyone’s introduced before a commitment. She isn’t interested in living with other dogs. Give her warmth, safety, and time to bloom. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
