About Auggie
Auggie is a clever, affectionate little dog looking for a home with people ready to soak up his love and energy. At just 10 pounds and about 10 months old, he’s the sort who can keep up on adventures but happily snuggle at home, too. He would be happiest with a family that includes older kids who know how to handle small dogs gently or active retirees who enjoy having a buddy by their side. His background wasn’t the smoothest—he was relinquished when his person could no longer care for him, but he bounced back quickly thanks to his loving personality and irresistible charm. Though initially skittish, Auggie warms up quickly with patience and tasty treats. Once settled, he will surprise you with goofy, puppy energy and a serious love for laps. Given time, nutrition, and plenty of affection, his short white-and-black coat will regain its gleam and softness. He’s not house trained yet, but his sharp mind responds well to gentle guidance. While he gets along with other dogs and children, he needs people who can dedicate time to him and won’t leave him alone all day—he thrives with attention. Auggie is neutered and fully vaccinated, so he’s ready for whatever comes next. Your new best friend is just one click away.
