About Chase
Chase is a Jack Russell Terrier mix with a lot of energy and intelligence, but he’s still learning to feel comfortable after being picked up as a stray. At just over a year old, Chase shows all the classic Jack Russell traits: he’s smart, curious, and always eager to play or learn new tricks. He already knows commands like sit, shake, and down, and he’s making steady progress with potty training and kennel sleeping routines. Squeaky toys, chew toys, food, and walks are his favorite things. Chase is working hard to overcome his nervousness around people and new situations. He tends to guard his comfy spots, food, and favorite people, and needs someone who can calmly reinforce boundaries. Because of his anxiety, Chase does best in a quiet, predictable adult home without children. He enjoys other dogs, though he’s still polishing his play skills, and he keeps up well even with bigger friends. Chase would thrive with ongoing training, daily activity, and someone patient enough to show him the world is safe. His birthday makes him a Pisces—no surprise, he’s sensitive at heart.
