About Biscuit
Biscuit is a six-year-old Jack Russell and Chihuahua mix with striking black-and-white fur and distinctive dark patches around his eyes, like a little bandit. Unlike his brother Chowder, Biscuit is quieter and much more sensitive. Most of his early life was spent confined to a single room, with no yard and little exposure to the outside world, so everything has been new and sometimes overwhelming for him. He can be timid with new people—not aggressive, just cautious, because he hasn’t always had reasons to trust. Now, thanks to patient foster time, he’s relaxing, growing more curious, and learning to trust. Biscuit forms deep attachments once he bonds with someone. Expect him to stick close, follow you from room to room, and always want to know where his person is—he’s a true velcro dog. Despite his tough start, he’s crate trained, amazing in cars, and has shown he’d be a great partner for off-leash trails or beaches since he rarely strays far from his human. He’s easygoing with other dogs, and although shy at first, he warms up fully once he knows you. Biscuit gets along well with both dogs and cats, and is house trained and up to date on vaccinations. Now he’s ready for a stable, loving home ready to go at his pace. Click apply to start the adoption process.

Questions about Biscuit
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Biscuit's mix of Jack Russell and Chihuahua breeds means he adapts well to both apartments and single-family homes, as long as he gets affection and companionship. He thrives in environments where he can be close to his person.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Biscuit does well with regular walks and occasional off-leash time in a secure area but doesn’t require a large yard. He sticks close to his human, so smaller outdoor spaces are often enough if he gets his exercise.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Jack Russell/Chihuahua mixes like Biscuit can do well with respectful children, though sensitive dogs like him may feel more comfortable in calmer homes or with older kids who understand his gentle nature.
