About Strudel
Strudel is a sweet, complicated little guy who is still figuring out how to feel safe in the world. With his trusted person, he's incredibly affectionate, craves closeness, and loves to snuggle. When he allows himself to relax, he reveals a warmth that feels truly special, showing how deeply he connects once trust is established. Though Strudel is still learning that new people and situations can be positive, he's making commendable progress. He thrives with humans who are patient, understanding, and willing to let him take his time. Strudel is a fast learner, responding to his name and starting to follow basic commands. He’s crate trained, house trained, and has mastered the dog door. With an energetic spirit, he enjoys playful pursuits like chasing balls, even if he's still figuring out the retrieval part. This little guy has a big heart and personality. He forms joyful bonds with dogs his size, engaging in playful tug-of-war and sharing toys, making for adorable moments of companionship. While he adores affection, Strudel also appreciates some space to recharge before seeking more cuddles. The essence of his charm shines through once he trusts his human: he becomes silly, snuggly, and a delightful little shadow. Strudel’s journey in foster care has shown that with the right mix of kindness, structure, and patience, he can continue to flourish. He’s looking for someone who sees beyond his timid moments and recognizes the playful, loving dog he truly is. If you feel you can be that person, please fill out an application!
