About Piper

Piper is a smooth coat chocolate and tan Dachshund with a big presence despite her small size. At three years old and just 15 lbs, she has an outgoing meet-and-greet style—she often takes charge of the room. Piper's recall is sharp; she’s an excellent off-leash companion and gets along well with other dogs, cats, and kids. Dog door trained and reliably housebroken, she sleeps quietly through the night in a crate. Piper is spayed and current on her vaccinations. She did experience a seizure in June that resolved without treatment, but she does need a dental soon. The rescue will cover her dental procedure. Like most Dachshunds, she loves to play, bask in the sun, and explore her environment, but she does best in a single-family home or duplex with a secure, fenced yard. Apartment living isn’t ideal for her. Piper is not just friendly—she’s full of personality, ready to bring her energy to a home that appreciates the Dachshund spirit. Give Piper the happy, carefree life she’s waiting for. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
