About Rigatoni
Rigatoni is a gentle, red brindle mix of Pit Bull Terrier and Dachshund who’s looking for a special home prepared to go at his pace. He’s working with the behavior team and needs patient people who won't rush introductions. A calm, quiet environment suits Rigatoni best—he finds busy settings and new faces overwhelming and will need plenty of time to adjust. Walking on leash in new places is still a work in progress; he benefits from patient guidance, encouraging words, and high-value treats. Snacks are his weak spot and can help you win him over. Rigatoni is happiest as the only dog in the house and shouldn’t live with cats or small animals. He needs an adult-only home with little foot traffic—he’s not cut out for hectic apartments or lively neighborhoods. He’s a sensitive, sweet boy who will require trust-building, especially as he does have a fractured incisor in need of future dental attention. If you want to help a shy dog bloom and have a calm setting to offer, Rigatoni may be your match. Ready to meet your new best friend? Apply now!
