About Winnie
Winnie is a small chihuahua mix who recently came to FairyTails after her previous owner could no longer keep her. She's adjusting to her new environment and, while a bit timid with all the changes, she shows her sweet side through friendly interactions with people and other dogs. Winnie lived with two other chihuahua mixes, Audie and Moana, so she's familiar with canine companionship. Weighing in at about 12 pounds, she's easy to carry and makes an excellent lap dog when you want someone to snuggle. At around 4 years old, Winnie balances youthful playfulness with a more settled adult personality. She is still acclimating, so the rescue is keeping an eye out for other quirks or preferences as she gets more comfortable. Every dog at FairyTails receives full vetting, is spayed or neutered, microchipped, has a dental exam, and is kept on preventatives. Winnie is no exception. She isn't house trained yet, but with patience and consistency, she'll get there. If you are looking for a gentle, friendly companion who's ready for her next chapter, Winnie is waiting in Winchester, KY. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!

Questions about Winnie
What type of living environment is this breed usually best suited for?
Chihuahua mixes like Winnie typically thrive in homes where they can be close to their people, whether that's an apartment or a house. They do well in both city and suburban settings as long as they have companionship.
How much outdoor space does this breed typically need?
Winnie, being a small chihuahua mix, doesn't require a large yard. She will enjoy short walks and secure outdoor play, but an apartment with regular outings works just fine.
Is this breed typically suitable for homes with children?
Chihuahua mixes can be good with gentle, respectful children, especially if they've been socialized like Winnie. Because she's friendly but a bit timid, calm older kids may be the best fit.
