About Abby Love
Abby Love and her brother Little Man are a bonded pair of long-haired Dachshunds looking for a home together in the Chicagoland area. These two share a deep sibling bond, always preferring to be close, whether they're napping in cozy beds, relaxing on the couch, or simply hanging around their people. Abby Love is five years old and full of personality—she actively seeks out affection, comes when called, and has a soft spot for her family. Her brother Little Man, a gentle ten-year-old, enjoys soaking up the sun and welcomes attention in quieter ways. Both are affectionate, people-focused, and thrive on routine. They get along well with cats and children of all ages, making them strong companions for a variety of homes. House training is a work in progress, but they respond well to consistency. Abby enjoys walks and outings, while Little Man, who has some difficulty with stairs, does best in a home that can support his mobility needs. Both walk nicely on leash and settle down together at night. The pair are typical Dachshunds—alert and sometimes vocal when they spot wildlife or activity outside. Expect them to announce visitors and neighborhood stirrings alike. Adoptions are limited to the Chicagoland area. The rescue is looking for a family ready to welcome both siblings and provide them with a loving, stable environment. Ready to meet them? Click apply to start the adoption process.
