About Charlie
Charlie is a handsome, affectionate Weimaraner mix with a real knack for giving hugs and soaking up attention. His start in life wasn’t easy—found abandoned on a rural road with his sister, he greeted animal control with trust, ready to find safety and companionship. After a stretch in foster care and then an adoption with his sister, Charlie found himself surrendered to rescue again—he’s still searching for a family who will truly stick by him. Charlie bonds deeply with people and is happiest when close to his family. He thrives on affection and loves to be included, whether that's hanging with adults or sharing gentle fun with older children. He made fast friends with the 9-year-old he recently met, thriving on all the attention and play. Dog social, Charlie has reliably shown good manners with other canines. Male or female, he’s friendly and respectful. Walks on a leash are an adventure for him—he’s more interested in getting close for a pet than the walk itself, and he’s always up for a car ride beside you. He’s gentle, sweet, and wants a family committed to returning the love he offers so willingly. In return, Charlie brings loyalty, affection, and true companionship to any home. Ready to fall in love?
