About Reagan
Reagan is a one-year-old Anatolian Shepherd who weighs in at 105 pounds and came from a challenging hoarding situation with over 40 dogs. His former owners were overwhelmed, so Reagan missed out on regular socialization and daily routines, but he has handled that upheaval with a surprisingly upbeat attitude. Out of the entire pack, he is the most confident and adaptable, eager to learn and more people-focused than you’d expect for his circumstances. He isn’t a fearful, withdrawn case—just a young, giant dog who didn’t get the typical puppy experiences and now needs structure, patience, and a steady, common-sense adopter. Reagan is steadily picking up on household routines and figuring out what is safe, new, and normal. While his size is significant and his breed has a strong sense of personal judgment, Reagan genuinely enjoys people and seeks out attention. He does best with a dog-savvy person and will benefit from a confident, friendly canine companion in the home—but he can also thrive as the main dog. He gets along well with other dogs and is fine with cats. Because of his size and ongoing adjustment to home life, a securely fenced yard is a must, and a home with children over 10 is recommended. Reagan is sweet, social, resilient, and ready for his next chapter. Give him time and clear expectations, and you’ll gain a loyal, steady-hearted friend for life. Your new best friend is just one click away.
