About Maya & Jazz

Maya and Jazz are a tight-knit pair of German Shepherds who have been through tough times but still have a ton of love to give. Both are 3-year-old, medium-coated females—half-sisters who stick together, follow your lead, and capture your loyalty once they learn to trust you. Jazz, the three-color beauty, melts for belly rubs and will chase around her jolly ball all day. Maya, sleek and black, is more interested in exploring with her nose and won’t say no to a tennis ball now and then. Both are spayed and fully vaccinated, with Maya also microchipped. Jazz has a hernia that doesn’t slow her down. These girls need a cat-free home and should live where they can run—country property would be ideal. Because of past abuse, they warm up more quickly to women and need patient adults willing to give them space and slow introductions, especially around strangers or men. Jazz protects her head due to a previous injury; if startled, she snaps her jaw as a warning. They need understanding people who won’t expect them to be “normal” dogs but appreciate the loyalty and affection they have to offer. Once you earn their trust, they become steadfast companions—happy to sit by your feet or snuggle if you let them. Maya and Jazz are ready for someone to give them the second chance they deserve. Your new best friend is just one click away.
