About Helix
Helix is a striking mix of Norwegian Elkhound and German Shepherd, with handsome brown and black markings and a medium coat. He's a bit reserved at first, preferring to warm up at his own tempo. Once he trusts you, he's all about those chin scratches, and he quietly enjoys getting attention from his friends. Helix thrives around other dogsāhe loves to wrestle and play chase, and daycare is his favorite way to burn off energy. He'd genuinely do best in a home with another playful dog to help him settle in. He entertains himself by tossing tennis balls in the air and trying to catch them with his paws. Helix listens well: he comes when called and sleeps soundly through the night in his kennel. Heās working on basic commands like "sit" and just getting started with "place." His adopter should be ready to continue his training and give him time to acclimate. Helix does best with a fenced yard and someone who understands he may take a while to fully relax in new places. He loves dogs, and heās good with cats and children too. For his safety, secure walks on a leash (and a GPS tracker) are a must, as he can be tough to catch if startled. Fun fact: Helix was born on November 5th, making him a Scorpioāexpect plenty of loyal intensity and cleverness in this guy. Your new best friend is just one click away.
