About Oatey
Oatey, sometimes called Oat Milk Latte, is a 12-year-old mix with a powdered sugar face and a zest for life. Despite his senior status, he moves with an energetic bounce and has a nose for both companionship and play—he loves walks, chases with other dogs, and friendly introductions to anyone who’ll pause to say hello. On leash he’s relaxed, and his approach with other dogs is always gentle and welcoming, whatever their size. His foster reports he’s the best at making friends—whether canine, kid, or stranger, everyone gets a warm greeting. On top of his lively spirit, Oatey’s always ready for long snuggles, following his people around and sprawling happily on his back for belly rubs. At 17 lbs, he makes a tidy, affectionate housemate. Oatey needed all his teeth removed due to previous neglect, but he’s undeterred. Soft food vanishes quickly, and he’s developed a taste for blueberries and watermelon. His ideal family will have another social dog at home—he thrives with company and the idea of being an only dog doesn’t fit him. He’s content with humans of all ages, as long as they can provide steady love and a safe place to enjoy his senior years. His adoption fee is $150. Oatey is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and protected from heartworm and fleas. Fun fact: born May 14, he’s a Taurus—solid, loyal, and loving. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
