Meet Your New Little Shadow This sweet senior chihuahua mix is the definition of a gentle soul. She's quiet (you'll rarely hear a bark!) and happiest when she's curled up close to her people, preferably wrapped snugly in a cozy blanket. If you're looking for a calm, loving companion, she might just be your perfect match. She absolutely adores being near her humans. Whether it's cuddling on the couch or greeting you with excitement when you walk through the door, she forms strong, loving bonds. Her foster family says she has the cutest habit of sneaking off to cozy spots-especially shoe closets-where she'll curl up on your shoes (yes, she has a soft spot for them and may "borrow" one for a nap!). She does wonderfully with kids and other dogs, making her a great addition to a family or a home with other pets. She is about 90% house trained, but like many small and sensitive pups, she can have a few accidents-especially when she gets excited or a little nervous (like when being picked up or sometimes when being petted). She'll do best with a patient adopter who understands and can continue to support her with a consistent routine. She also prefers to keep her paws dry, so rainy potty trips aren't her favorite-but with encouragement and love, she continues to improve. Currently, she is being treated for a yeast and bacterial skin infection on her back and is doing well on medication.
