About Aurea
Aurea is a bright, energetic young dog with her first birthday just around the corner. She came into rescue after her family could no longer keep her, but none of the circumstances had anything to do with her sweet nature. Last year, she survived being hit by a car and lost a back leg, though it hardly slows her down. She loves to race around with other dogs, so if you enjoy lots of play, she's ready to keep up. Car rides and meeting new people always bring out her affectionate side—she's especially keen on cuddling and treats. Leash walks are a breeze, and she's both housebroken and crate trained. Her friendly temperament extends to children, and she's even successfully lived with cats. Like most puppies, Aurea has some curiosity about what she can get away with, so supervision is still wise—she sometimes chews things she shouldn’t if left alone. With her puppy energy, she’s always down for adventure, but is starting to learn to settle when asked. She has a gentle, cheerful disposition that will keep growing more relaxed as she gets older. Aurea is in Greenbelt, MD, and will thrive with an active adopter invested in her continued growth. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
