About Sawako

Sawako ended up in a crowded Texas shelter with her sister, but only she made it out alive. She’s young, adaptable, and continues to recover from anaplasmosis; her weight is still catching up, but her energy and spirit are on track. Sawako gets along well with other dogs and is comfortable around people—she’s especially good with children, thanks to her gentle temperament. Cat compatibility isn’t known yet. As a large-breed puppy, supervision and ongoing training are important to help her thrive in a home environment. Sawako is house trained and up to date on her vaccinations, and she’ll arrive in Minneapolis on June 27. There’s priority for adopters in the Twin Cities metro so she can make her vet appointments locally. Your new best friend is just one click away.
