About Marlee

Marlee's life started out rough—a common tale for many Great Pyrenees. She was discovered wandering with an older female we believe was her mother, both left to fend for themselves on rural land. Without much human contact or direction, Marlee grew shy and unsure, not really certain where—or even to whom—she belonged. Her companion Marilyn has found her place with a family, and now Marlee is searching for hers. When she first arrived at her foster home, Marlee was distant, slow to trust, and unsure of people. Through time and patience, she has warmed up and now genuinely seeks out affection from those she trusts. Marlee’s gentle spirit has begun to shine—she bonds deeply and is sensitive to her people’s moods. She is crate trained, gets along amazingly with other dogs, is respectful of cats, and does well with young children. New people may still make her a little shy at first, but every day she grows more confident. Marlee needs a family familiar with the Great Pyrenees breed, who understand her background and can offer her security, patience, and structure. Because of her breed’s roaming instincts, she requires a securely fenced yard (privacy or wrought iron fencing is best). If you want a deeply loyal, sensitive dog with a gentle heart and a resilient spirit, Marlee is ready to meet you. Lets make it official, apply to adopt!
