I’m Oreo. I Thought I Was Home Once. I’m Ready to Try Again. I'm currently in California, but my bags are packed, I’m ready to travel to my new home. Where are you? Are you my new family? I’ll travel to you! I’m a 3-year-old Husky weighing about 45 pounds, and if you know Huskies, you know we’re more than just pretty faces. We’re expressive, smart, loyal, and happiest when we feel connected to our people. I was adopted from the shelter, but was returned when my adopter decided a smaller dog would be a better fit for their home. They almost sent me to the Rainbow Bridge! Thank goodness I was saved in time. I have not done anything wrong! The good news? I’m safe with Angel Dog Alliance while I wait for the right person to find me. I'm at the vet right now, getting all of my healthcare after shelter life dealt with. My rescuers believe in getting em fully ready for my forever home. Once I'm done here, they found me a foster home so I can wait for my adopter! I’m good with kids and enjoy being around people. I love walks and do really well on leash. Getting outside, moving around, sniffing the world, that’s my kind of therapy. I’ve got a sweet personality and a soft side that shows up once I settle in. I like being near my people and being included in everyday life. I’m not the kind of dog who wants to be ignored in the backyard. I want connection. Like a lot of Huskies, I’m smart and aware. I notice routines. I pay attention to energy. I do best when life feels steady and I know where I belong. I just need someone who understands that dogs aren’t instant furniture. We need time, consistency, and commitment too. Because once I know I’m home, I’ll give you everything I’ve got.
