About Oreo
Oreo is a 3-year-old Siberian Husky with striking black and white fur and a long, flowing coat. He was once adopted, then returned through no fault of his own, and nearly lost his life because of it—luck and determination brought him to safety. Oreo is currently in California but is ready to travel across the country to find his real forever people in Illinois. Now getting fully vetted and set to decompress in a foster home, Oreo is looking for a home that will see him for what he is: an expressive, clever, loyal husky who craves real connection. Oreo loves being around kids, so a family environment suits him well. He thrives when included in daily life, not left alone or forgotten outside. He enjoys walks, does well on a leash, and lights up when he gets to sniff and explore new places. Like most huskies, he’s observant and likes routines. Oreo isn’t just pretty—he wants to bond with his people and be part of the action. He needs someone who understands that dogs need commitment and time to settle in. If you’re searching for a sweet, people-centered dog who will return your love tenfold, Oreo is waiting. What are you waiting for? Apply today!
