Joejoe & Blackfoot are two large, senior, neutered male Domestic Short Hair cats with classic black and white tuxedo coats. They have spent their lives together and are currently living in Waverly, IA. Both are house trained, up to date on vaccinations, and have short hair that is easy to maintain. At 10 years and 3 months old, these bonded brothers are searching for a quiet, indoor home where they can settle in together.

About Joejoe & Blackfoot

Joejoe and Blackfoot came back into rescue after a tough transition—losing both their original family and the only life they really knew. Born as brothers in February 2016, they recently turned 10 and are deeply bonded, each relying on the other for comfort. Adjusting slowly, these two started out hiding in their foster space, but patience and quiet routines have coaxed them back out. Blackfoot has proven the braver of the two, usually first to check things out, while Joejoe still values a good hiding spot when he needs to reset. Both are friendly once you earn their trust and will come out for pets, especially when food is on the table. They’re quiet cats, except at mealtime when their vocal side shows. Notably, Blackfoot and Joejoe look almost identical—tuxedo patterns, short coats, with Blackfoot’s unique black foot to help you tell them apart. Both are working on slimming down from over 20 pounds with the help of measured feeding. They should stay together, as being apart would make their world a lot harder. They'll be happiest starting off in a single room and with an adopter willing to let them adjust at their own speed. They don’t mix well with young kids, but seem okay with calm, older children, and appear open to sharing a home with other cats. Their reaction to dogs is unknown. If you’re patient and value the quiet company of two devoted brothers, Joejoe and Blackfoot will reward you in time. Your new best friend is just one click away.
